Our Story
A small room, run with care
San Lorenzo sits on 9th Street NW in Shaw, a few blocks from Logan Circle and Mount Vernon Triangle. The dining room is intentionally small — close tables, low light, and service that pays attention without hovering.
It is the kind of Italian restaurant Washington needs more of: somewhere you can bring a date, a client, or your parents, and know the food and the wine will be right.

Pasta by hand, fish by the market
Pappardelle, tortelli, ravioli and linguini are made in house. The fish changes with what comes in that morning, the soup changes with the season, and the chef's tasting menu changes whenever the kitchen finds something worth cooking.
Beside the kitchen, our bar pours Italian-leaning wine, signature spritzes and classic cocktails — for guests staying for dinner and for those who just want a glass and an antipasto.
